Enter the unexpected: paradox(e) by SBDC

mail chimp nothing changesunnamed.png

Dear Friends,

We are thrilled to invite you to experience our next production, paradox(e), taking place January 29th, 30th, and 31st, 2026 at Maison Florença (998 Rue Notre-Dame, Lachine, QC).

paradox(e) is a captivating fusion of visual art and dance, where sight and sound intertwine to challenge perception, ignite the senses, and spark conversations…leaving you with more questions than answers.

Within this immersive, two-floor exhibit, you are invited to wander freely through shifting spaces where art and audience merge. Performance boundaries blur and perspectives bend, as you slip into a delightful frenzy of reflection and questioning.

*Please note that access to and throughout the venue is limited for individuals with reduced mobility. Active movement and exploration of the space is an integral part of the experience; however, thoughtfully curated seating areas will be available for pause and conversation.

Guests will be admitted at 10-minute intervals, so we ask that you respect the entrance time indicated on your ticket to ensure a smooth experience.

Your departure time is at your discretion; however, we recommend allowing approximately 90 minutes to fully experience paradox(e).

Don’t wait! Secure your tickets now and experience SBDC like never before. Step into the unexpected, embrace the unexplained, and let curiosity do the rest.

Tickets are limited. Purchase yours now.

With anticipation,
The Sonia Balazovjech Dance Company

Award of Excellence

I am honored to announce that I have won an award of excellence in the figurative category at the 27th annual Maison des Arts Saint-Faustin competition with my painting entitled "Les petits voiliers 2". This work, which fits perfectly into the theme of the exhibition devoted to rupture, it is of course the rupture between carefree childhood and adult life.

Imagine the Park event

I had the immense pleasure of participating in this unique event with pianist Guy Martin last Saturday, July 20 at Gabriel Marchand Park, where music and painting merged harmoniously to convey strong emotions. The video captures the emotional mood in a touching way. I am deeply grateful to Guy Martin for his invitation. A big thank you also to the city of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, and especially to Ms. Mélanie Dufresne, for their valuable support for such events. I would also like to warmly thank photographer Daniel Dubois for capturing magnificent photos of the event.

I had the chance to participate again in this beautiful event on Saturday August 3rd, it was still just as enjoyable.
