Canvas 1348 - Chessboard

Here is the current design of this canvas. The images are not final and may change slightly. I still need to select two images for the areas marked with green squares. Note that I will install a mirror on the white square right next to the female figure.
For me, this alternative composition between constraint and freedom seems to do justice to the theme. What's more, the composition follows the Fibonacci sequence, which is almost a coincidence...
In the image below, the Fibonacci sequence is superimposed on the image.

Painting 1347 - Lost in space

Here is the painting "Lost in Space" which deals with the paradox of human evolution and its futile activities....
This is the current state of the canvas; I'm working on the globe section. To be continued.
Painting 1346 - La chaise - for choreography "A SEAT AT THE TaBLE"

The painting was created from a photograph of a chair taken by a camera looking at a broken mirror.

Preliminary view where I plan to install the mirrors on the canvas (pieces in red). You can also see the transparent yellow structure to which these pieces will be attached.

A painting about our personal choices.
Painting 1344 - Read my lips - for choreography "THE RED QUEENS"

A painting about our personal choices.
Liberty fabric 1345 - for the choreography "FEED YOUR HEAD A&W"
Painting of one of the inside panels, the image is first traced and then painted in white. It may become orange, I am not decided yet...

This painting deals with our freedom, which is relative, the freedom that we are led to believe is real.
The image at the top shows what is visible from the outside.
The image at the bottom is the result of what you see when you open the painting!
Note: the design of the side panels is not yet finalized in terms of design.
Canvas 1349 - The show stopper for the choreography "DISLOGIC & PROPORTION"

This painting is the largest painting of the Paradox event. Its total dimensions will be eight (8) feet high by twelve (12) feet wide and the thickness will be approximately three (3) feet.
It will be an assembly of three (3) wooden panels.
The video shows part of the tests to visualize the Mobius belt in space from both the front and the side. The images were captured using two cameras placed at 90 degrees and a Mobius strip manufactured at a scale of one (1) foot wide and twenty-four (24) feet long. A second belt at a scale of thirty-two (32) feet long was also tested.
The simple Mobius strip was made of paper so that it could be easily deformed. Rods were attached to the strip at a distance of eight (8) feet so as to simulate the length of the real strip which would be made from eight (8) foot long plywood.
The final design will be discussed at the next meeting on July 7, 2025.
Trial with Golden paint and Textile medium on black tissue. Thermal curing to be completed.
First multi-layer study with image and text on the base layer covered with gel and the model on top surface. Model was Divya.
This video represents the exploratory work on a painting for the Paradox project. Ideally, a video for each painting would be available on the website during the exhibition (accessible by QR code) to provide an additional dimension regarding the making of the painting and also its creative process. Footage during rehearsals could be added to these videos, as well as narration from the artist and/or the artistic director and/or the dancers.
