LUC FORTIER CONTEMPORARY VISUAL ARTIST

Artist painter's work is entirely new and different in the way of rendering the image. Inspired by pointillism, he constructs the image using large blocks of paint juxtaposed and superimposed in rectangular shapes. This pictorial writing is characterized by brightly colored rectangles arranged in the most random orientation. One could refer to it as "rectangulism."

In addition to developing a beautiful richness and vivid colors dialogue, this technique creates texture by using a painting knife (spatula) that leaves its mark on the work.
