Cultural mediation in Beaconsfield

The project
As part of a Misc concert in Beaconsfield, I was initially invited to participate in a live painting activity with other artists during the show.
The project took on a new dimension when the City wanted to incorporate a cultural mediation component. The activity was then redesigned to include a meeting with the public, a presentation of my approach, and a painting demonstration.
Presentation and demonstration
Before the concert, I briefly presented my artistic approach and explained how I work with color, gesture, and materials. A live painting demonstration then allowed the audience to observe the creative process.
For this activity, I deliberately adopted a different approach from my usual work. Rather than trying to reproduce my figurative painting process and my work with a palette knife, I used music as a starting point for a more spontaneous creation.
