Here is the portrait called “Émile”. This monochrome canvas mounted on a gallery-like frame has dimensions of 24 x 20 x inches (60.9 x 50.8 x 3.8 cm). Made with a spatula and acrylic using a pictorial language inspired by the post- impressionist movement, more specifically pointillism , the color of the canvas is in shades of gray. This canvas is a tribute to the Canadian poet  “Émile Nelligan (1879-1941). Among his works are "La Romance du vin" (1899), "Le Vaisseau d'or" (1899), "Soir d'hiver" (1903)
