A breathtaking action-packed seascape .
Artist's interpretation
This acrylic seascape, interpreted in a contemporary pointillist style, is inspired by a memory from a trip to Nice . The scene evokes the magical moment when a wave crashes against the rocks, transforming all its energy into a powerful geyser. The palette knife technique creates a superb texture that adds another dimension to the action and the juxtaposition of the ocean and the rocks below. In the distance to the west, the Promenade des Anglais stretches to infinity.
Because this canvas is relatively small and an unusual size for a landscape, it can easily fit into a small vertical space. I also chose to extend the image to the sides of the canvas, which gives it a 3D effect, so it won't need a frame.
