A seascape of breathtaking action.
Artist's interpretation
This acrylic maritime landscape interpreted in a contemporary pointillist way is inspired by a memory of a trip to Nice. This scene evokes the magical moment when the wave crashes against the rocks and transforms all its energy into a powerful geyser. The knife work generates a great texture that adds another dimension to the action and the carving of the ocean and rocks below. Far to the west extends the Promenade des Anglais to infinity.
This canvas, being relatively small and of an unusual format for a landscape, could easily fit into a small vertical space. I also chose to continue the image on the sides of the painting, which brings a 3D effect to the canvas, so it will not need framing.
