Interpretation of the work by the artist;
 
Thisfigurative paintingmade from a personal photo during a posing session was an opportunity for me to explore the human being again. As in all my paintings, exact mimicry is not on the agenda but rather a concern to capture the few essential elements of the physiognomy and the pose allow to give life to the model.
 
It is at the level of the colors that I let the emotions enter and guide me. The choice of colors gives a theatrical allure to the model, this impenetrable being who lets filter only part of the information in his expression and his pose. The colors are deposited in juxtaposed touches a little inspired by pointillism which gives it a contemporary look. Since the painting is done with a paint knife, a texture also develops throughout the process.
